4 Fantastic Drinks for the Fourth of July

This year the Fourth of July is on a Thursday. Blech. If you’re going to indulge in a few adult beverages and risk missing that alarm clock Friday morning, you better make sure the drinks are worth it. Here are a few tasty ones I’ve found for you to test out during your celebration. Enjoy! (And of course, drink responsibly!)

1. The Sparkler

Vodka anyone? Yes please! This yummy drink is like a spritzer. If you’ve spent any time on Pinterest you may have come across it. It’s described as, “A sparkling drink that will make you feel like you’re drinking a firework!” I never actually drank a firework so I can’t attest to that, but the taste of this drink is definitely refreshing and will leave you wanting more.

2. Fourth of July Punch

Where my winos at? Sure you can throw some strawberries & blueberries into your white wine and have a field day, but why not just add some liquor and really have some fun? This sangria recipe calls for your fav type of wine (red or white) and also brandy or cognac. Jappy Horth of Fuly! (*Hick*)

3. Red, White, and Blue

One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor. That’s how it goes right? This cutesy margarita will no doubt be a hit at your party if you’re trying to impress your friends with your creativity. Good luck with getting those layers right. Make sure to read the full instructions if you need help keeping the colors separate.

4. Big Blue

With it’s bright blue color and super yummy cherry garnish, this one screams July 4th! This drink is also known as the Blue Hawaiian, but for the sake of the holiday, I’m going with Big Blue. A mixture of rum, blue curacao, & pineapple juice, this cocktail may knock you off your feet; but I suppose if you’re used to rum, you can handle it.
